Recording artist and one of Cameroon’s heavyweight female superstar, Mimie wrapped up her Shevolution tour in Yaounde on July 25, 2026 in style. With huge expectation already on this event, Mimie was tasked with delivering a stellar performance and oh boy did she deliver.
The Shevolution Tour Yaounde took place at the Congress Hall, Yaounde. It was a follow up tour to her acclaimed debut EP “Shevolution”, released in 2024. According to Laura Dave Media, Mimie officially unveiled the concept as an extension of her artistic vision, emphasizing that music can be a powerful tool for education and social transformation. Through the tour, she sought to amplify the voices of women, encourage dialogue about the challenges they face, and inspire communities to promote equality, dignity, and respect.
The Yaoundé edition of the tour took place at the Palais des Congrès on 25 July 2026, under the theme “Femme, ni silence ni violence” (“Woman: Neither Silence nor Violence”). The event was promoted as a fully live concert that would blend exceptional musical performances with strong messages of awareness and social responsibility, creating an emotional and memorable experience for attendees.
The event also highlighted Mimie’s commitment to showcasing Cameroonian talent. The production featured high-quality live performances, surprise guests, and collaborations with fellow artists, reflecting her desire to celebrate local creativity while providing audiences with a world-class entertainment experience. The guest artists included famous names like TENOR, LOCKO, Magasco, Babal and many more.
Beyond the music, Mimie and her team explained that Shevolution is intended to have a lasting impact through community engagement. As a follow-up to this milestone event, she was officially nominated at the Nairobi Entertainment Music Awards (NEMA) 2026 in two major categories: Best African Global Female Artist and Best Central African Female Artist.
