Tenor

Tenor, born Thierry Mengoumou Ayia on 11 April 1998 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, is a Cameroonian rapper, singer, songwriter, and performer. He discovered his passion for music at a young age and began recording songs while still in secondary school. Inspired by hip-hop and contemporary African sounds, Tenor developed a distinctive style that blends rap, Afrobeats, trap, and urban pop. His energetic delivery, catchy melodies, and relatable lyrics have made him one of the leading voices of Cameroon’s new generation of artists.

Tenor rose to national fame in 2017 with the release of his breakout single “Do le Dab,” a viral hit that dominated radio stations, clubs, and social media across Cameroon.
