Stanley Enow

Stanley Enow, born Stanley Ebai Enow on 8 February 1985 in Bamenda, Cameroon, is an award-winning rapper, singer, songwriter, television personality, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Popularly known as the “Bayangi Boy,” he is regarded as one of the pioneers of modern Cameroonian hip-hop and one of the country’s most influential urban music artists. Raised in Bafoussam before moving to Douala, he earned a degree in Business Journalism from the University of Douala, a background that helped launch his early career in radio and television before transitioning into music.

Stanley Enow rose to prominence in 2013 with the release of his breakthrough single “Hein Père,” a chart-topping anthem that became a cultural phenomenon across Cameroon and beyond. The song earned widespread acclaim, won Best Video of the Year at the Balafon Music Awards, and established him as a leading figure in African hip-hop. In 2014, he made history by becoming the first Cameroonian artist to win an MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA), receiving the Best New Act award and placing Cameroonian urban music on the continental stage.

Throughout his career, Stanley Enow has released successful projects including Soldier Like Ma Papa and Stanley vs Enow, while collaborating with renowned African artists such as Davido, Sarkodie, Diamond Platnumz, Mr Eazi, Nyanda, and Ariel Sheney. His music blends hip-hop, Afropop, dancehall, and Afrobeat, often incorporating English, French, and Cameroonian dialects. Beyond his artistic achievements, he co-founded Motherland Empire, an entertainment company dedicated to developing African talent and expanding the global reach of African music.

Outside the recording studio, Stanley Enow is deeply committed to social impact and youth empowerment. He has participated in numerous campaigns promoting education, health, and children’s rights, and in 2020 was recognized by UNICEF for his advocacy work. Through his entrepreneurial ventures, philanthropy, and international performances, he continues to serve as a cultural ambassador for Cameroon, inspiring a new generation of African artists to pursue excellence while proudly representing their heritage on the global stage.
